ASUS PRIME A520M-KOverview

Put the finishing touch on your next AMD build with thePrime B550M-K AM4 Micro-ATX MotherboardfromASUS. Compatible with AMD Ryzen Gen 3 CPUs or APUs using the AM4 socket, this motherboard uses the A520 chipset. Install 64GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM across two slots, with speeds up to 4600 MHz supported when overclocking. Users can also install storage drives using an M.2 and four SATA III interfaces. Install a graphics card using a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot; connect other adapter cards via two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots.

A rear I/O panel sports four USB 3.2 Gen 1 and two 2.0 Type-A ports. A legacy mouse or keyboard can also be connected using a PS/2 combo port, and an HDMI and VGA facilitate display connections. An RK45 port supports a Gigabit Ethernet connection. Three 3.5mm audio ports are also present on the back panel.

Internal headers include one USB 3.2 Gen 1 and two USB 2.0 connectors, supporting two and four Type-A ports, respectively. Connect fans via one CPU fan and one case fan header; an SPI TPM header accommodates an optional, user-installed TPM chip. Audio headers include S/PDIF and speaker connectors, as well as AAFP audio connectors for front-panel ports. A Clear CMOS jumper is also incorporated into the motherboard. Audio relies on the Realtek ALC887 codec, supporting 7.1 Surround Sound. The ASUS Prime B550M-K AM4 Micro-ATX Motherboard is compatible with Windows 10 64-bit operating systems.
